Ibrahim, Cohort 1

... so far, I have been extremely satisfied with the program and its structure. It blends a mix of useful resources that every aspiring designer needs including design foundations, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on real projects. I really liked the education part of the program as it combines live interactive lessons with deliverables you then complete that mimic real-world scenarios that designers tackle in their day-to-day work.

    FAQs

    Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to commonly asked questions.

Do I need prior UX experience to apply?

No prior experience is required! Our program is designed for beginners, career switchers, and early UX learners. We provide the foundational training and support you need to confidently take on real-world projects.

How much time should I expect to commit each week?

You should plan for 5–8 hours per week during the learning phase, and about 8–12 hours per week during the apprenticeship. Our program is flexible with asynchronous content, but there are deadlines to help you stay on track.

What if I’m not selected for the apprenticeship?

Everyone who enrolls in the full program will get access to an apprenticeship opportunity. If we’re unable to match you right away, you’ll be prioritized for the next cohort or project intake. In the meantime, you’ll still have access to live workshops, mentor feedback, and community support.

How does the matching process work?

After completing your core lessons, you’ll submit an intake form sharing your skills, interests, and preferred project types. We then match you with a real business partner based on project availability and your profile. Our team reviews every match to ensure a good fit.

Can I include this experience on my resume and LinkedIn?

Absolutely! You’ll be working on real-world projects with actual business outcomes. Many graduates feature this work as a primary case study in their portfolios and resumes—and we encourage you to do the same.

    Is there a refund policy?

Yes — if you withdraw within the first 7 days of the cohort start date, you’re eligible for a full refund. After this period, the program is non-refundable due to the commitment we make to securing projects and mentor support for each participant.

What’s the difference between an apprenticeship and an internship?

An apprenticeship at DesignXP is a mentored, project-based learning experience. You’ll work on real projects for actual businesses, with guidance and feedback from experienced designers — but the primary goal is skill development and building a portfolio. An internship is typically a formal job with an employer, where you contribute as a junior team member. Internships often focus more on output for the company, while our apprenticeship is designed to help you learn, improve, and showcase your growth.

Ready to finally get real UX design experience?

No degree required. No gatekeeping. Just bring your determination and design passion.

Upcoming start date: October 27, 2025
Limited to 25 spots per cohort.
